Events are at the heart of the mission of the Stafford Dog Club. Events are designed to raise awareness of dog-related issues, to educate the public about responsible dog ownership, and to celebrate the life we share with our dogs. And the club's participation in events increases visibility of the club within the community.

On December 2, 2006 the Stafford Dog Club participated in the annual Fredericksburg Jaycees Christmas Parade. The theme was "Caribbean Christmas," and in grand style we decorated a dog house with palm trees, flowers, fish, monkeys, and lights galore! It was a wonderful event and we all had a great time. The best part was how well behaved our dogs were as they marched proudly through the crowds of thousands! They were truly the quintessential canine ambassadors!
